Lamar Dance
The regular dance classes do not compete for awards or against each other, as the focus is purely on learning.
Students who take dance enjoy a sense of confidence and pride in themselves. It is a wonderful stress reliever and an outlet for each student. It is a very physically demanding activity, therefore students feel more fit and healthy.
The student is responsible for coming to class prepared, open-minded, and ready to work. Discipline and focus are a must.
There is a $5 costume rental fee in the spring. Students must have appropriate all black dance attire, as well. Ballet students are required to have pink tights, a black leotard, and pink ballet slippers.
If the students want to participate further, they need to contact Meoka McBride or Sara Wilson.
The Spring Dance Concert is Friday, April 20 at the Pershing Middle School Auditorium. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. and the tickets are $8 and may be purchased online.
